Noise Barriers Wins Lake County Manufacturer of the Year
THE ALLIANCE FOR INDUSTRY MANUFACTURING RECOGNIZES NOISE BARRIERS AS THE LAKE COUNTY MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR
Lincolnshire, Illinois, October 6, 2016—On October 6th, the Alliance for Industry and Manufacturing (AIM) held its annual Manufacturing Awards Dinner at the Marriott Magnificent Mile in Chicago to celebrate innovation in manufacturing and recognize leaders throughout the region. At the event, AIM presented Libertyville-based Noise Barriers with the Lake County Manufacturer of the Year Award. "It was an honor for Noise Barriers to receive this prestigious recognition, and we are proud of our many years of service and experience operating in Lake County," said Noise Barrier's Dave Mitchell, Chief Financial Officer.
Noise Barriers is the premier supplier and manufacturer of architectural, industrial and environmental noise control products and solutions, and the company has been successfully operating in Libertyville for thirteen years. "Businesses such as Noise Barriers work hard to stay at the forefront of the market, and they play a vital role in our community. The company has a proven history of providing innovative products and solutions, and I appreciated having the opportunity to attend the event and show my support for this great achievement," noted Village of Libertyville Mayor Terry Weppler.
AIM has been a major force in industrial retention for over 40 years, and seeks to address skills gap issues through STEM activities and workforce training initiatives. AIM also works with stakeholders such as Lake County Partners, the leading economic development corporation in Lake County, to draw attention to the critical role that manufacturing plays in the regional economy through events such as the Manufacturing Awards Dinner. Lake County Board Chair and Honorary Event Co-Chair Aaron Lawlor remarked that "manufacturing is an important target industry in Lake County, and local leaders are committed to working together to reach out to businesses in Lake County and ensure that they have what they need to thrive."
Lake County Partners President and CEO Michael Stevens concurred, noting that "Lake County Partners has worked with partners such as the Lake County Workforce Development Department and the College of Lake County to establish a network of support for manufacturers in Lake County. It's always gratifying to see business success stories like Noise Barriers, and we are happy that they have chosen to call Lake County home."
